Atlas Copco Group's statement on accessibility and creating a more inclusive web experience.

Our statement

At Atlas Copco Group we strongly believe in diversity and inclusion. We, therefore, strive to provide all our visitors an equal experience on our websites, an experience that is both welcoming and accessible.

We are actively working towards creating an accessibility culture within our design, content, and development community. Our objective is to provide a web experience that adheres to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1 Level AA

While we are at the start of this important journey and this is an ongoing process, we commit to creating inclusive content and design that address the various needs of our users.

How accessible is the website?

We have taken steps to enhance the readability of links on our website, and to improve keyboard navigation as well.

While we acknowledge that certain areas of our website are not fully accessible, we are committed to making progress toward creating a fully accessible web experience.

This website is partially compliant due to the non-compliances listed below.

We acknowledge that using only the keyboard to navigate the website can lead to some limitations, particularly in terms of tabbing order.

Certain text and interactive elements have inadequate contrast with their respective backgrounds or surrounding colours. Additionally, some graphics also have insufficient contrast.

The visual heading structure is not always reflected in the code, leading to some headings not being recognized as such by screen readers. In some cases, the visual heading hierarchy and the semantic hierarchy do not match.

Certain form elements do not have accurate labels, which describe the purpose and functionality of form controls such as text fields and buttons. Without proper labels, users, particularly those using assistive technologies, may have difficulty understanding and interacting with forms on our website.

In some sections of our websites, we retrieve content from external sources. Since the information is pre-coded, we cannot adjust the placement or hierarchy of headings, which may result in incorrect heading structures. Additionally, we do not control buttons or the general content layout, meaning there may be accessibility issues beyond our control.

In some tables, the table headers are not properly marked up, making it harder to understand the table when using a screen reader. Additionally, there may be tables that lack a table caption.

Some components may have multiple redundant links or have no text or appropriate label, which can cause confusion for users, particularly those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers.

Video content might lack subtitles, and in some cases also audio descriptions of the visual content in the video.

Certain PDF documents on the website are not properly tagged to be compatible with assistive reading technologies. Additionally, some PDF documents may have incorrect reading and tab order, and some images and graphics may lack or have incorrect text alternatives.

Our accessibility journey is continuing. We regularly scan the website to confirm fixes of known issues and schedule the fixing of any new issues. It is our ambition to fix all known accessibility problems by June 2025.
