Your role

In the engineering department of the Portable Air division, we have an exciting vacancy for a test engineer in the Oil-Free team. You will join a dynamic team of designers, project engineers, and test engineers who are working together to bring new and innovative products to the market.

Your mission is to create, execute, and follow up on the test program related to the engineering projects you are involved in. These tests are executed during the different phases of our concept-to-product process, from feasibility until field follow-up. You help to maintain the quality, safety, reliability, and cost of our existing and future products.

You will organize and follow up the build-up of new prototype units, define the test program in cooperation with the project engineer, make a time plan for the tests in the lab, execute the test program, analyze the results, and write test reports. You will give feedback to the project team on possible design and performance improvements, solve technical issues on prototypes in the lab and machines in the field, safeguard safety and follow the safety procedures in the lab, systematically log and apply newly acquired knowledge, and create, improve, and maintain new test procedures.

You will be leading and communicating on different levels, including leading and supporting the lab mechanics, maintaining your internal network (project team members, colleague test engineers), and maintaining your external network (suppliers, customers).

• Solid technical knowledge, both theoretical and practical
• A master or bachelor degree or equivalent by experience
• A solid technical background
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
• Ability to work systematically, accurately, and efficiently under high workload
• A real team player and flexible in a dynamic team
• Fluent in Dutch and English
