Your Role
We are looking for someone to strengthen our PTS Global purchasing team in India. Are you enthusiastic to deliver sustainable and reliable service to our customers? Does the need for continuous improvement (optimizing purchase conditions, improving availability, reducing cost, …) together with our business partners bring out the best in you? Then this might be the job for you!
As the Purchaser, you are responsible for your own supplier portfolio. It is your task to work together with your suppliers for logistics and cost improvements. Next to that, intensive cooperation with other teams will help you develop new opportunities for our division. To support our life cycle management process and all other processes will be indispensable to contribute to our customers’ satisfaction.
- You will manage your supplier portfolio and improve the purchasing conditions (lead time, lot size, cost, …) through our supplier excellence program.
- You will support the life cycle management process (parts introduction phase and phase-out).
- You will collaborate with the Product Company in India to ensure synergies according to our ‘10 principles’.
- You will provide master data updates for new parts releases and updates.
- You will lead or contribute to projects on potential business development or process improvements.
- You will represent the purchasing team in cross-team or cross-divisional projects.
- You will support our service centers, with a focus on the ISC, to assure the highest availability of spare parts to our worldwide customers.
You will work in the Power Technique Service division, which provides all aftermarket and service parts for machines of the Power Technique Business Area of Atlas Copco. In this job, you will report to the PTS Purchasing manager in Belgium

- You have an academic background in engineering, economics or can rely on 3+ years of relevant experience.
- You are fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.
- You are both analytical and determined to reach (company) goals.
- You will put our customers needs first.
- You eloquently build bridges between stakeholders.
- You are a dynamic, proactive and independent.
- You have experience in logistics and/or purchasing.
- You are willing to travel sporadic
