Leybold USA Systems & Solutions Design Engineer Intern
Location: Export, PA 15632
Wage: $21 per hour
In-Office: M-F 8AM - 5PM EST
This internship will run from June 9, 2025 to August 15, 2025

The Systems & Solutions Design Engineer Intern will assist in proposal generation to determine concepts, costing and lead times, transfer concept to engineering solutions including procurement, material planning, assembly, and testing.
Main Responsibilities:
Front End
Proposal Generation - Review inquires from the field and conceive vacuum systems to offer solutions best suited for the application, maximizing value and end-user lowest cost of ownership. Determine engineering concept, associated costing, and lead times
Project Execution
Detailed Engineering - Once an order is received, transform concept into a detailed engineering solution, including drawings, BOM's, and purchasing descriptioins of the third-party value-added items
Sourcing and Planning - Procure all third-party items, driving for best quality, lowest cost, and shortest lead time Place inter-company orders for vacuum pumps, blowers, and other Atlas Copco manufactured items. Plan material receipt, assembly, and testing activities utilizing all available processes and SAP ERP tools to ensure meetingh or exceeing lead time obligations

The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5-10 pounds. This position requires frequent computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
This position requires occasional travel for 5% of the position, results of overnight or multiple days.
This position requires 100% in office work.

Must be a Junior or Senior Engineering student at an accredited college or university.
