Atlas Copco to acquire German calibration specialist

Stockholm, Sweden, October 5, 2011: Atlas Copco-owned TBB Industrial Tools Services GmbH has agreed to acquire Kalibrierdienst Stenger, a Germany-based business specialized in calibration of measuring instruments for industrial tools.
Kalibrierdienst Stenger’s main customer groups are the general manufacturing and automotive industries. The business, which currently employs seven people, holds official accreditations for a wide range of calibration services. “This acquisition provides an additional base from which to grow and develop our existing aftermarket offering to our customers in the automotive and general industries” says Mats Rahmström, President of Atlas Copco’s business area Industrial Technique. Kalibrierdienst Stenger’s employees will join the Atlas Copco Industrial Technique services organization in Germany as a result of the acquisition. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
