About the role:

GRS are currently seeking an experienced BDM to strengthen our customer base and research new business opportunities within set territories. In this role, you’ll manage key accounts and develop the business with proactive sales activities that positively contribute to set company and sales team wide goals. We are looking for a proven BDM with experience in the energy and/or temperature control industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual sales strategies to achieve market sector and territory goals.
  • Identify, establish and manage existing and new major key account business opportunities within the territory.
  • Regular travel to customers throughout NZ and Pacific Islands.
  • Deliver key presentations for major opportunities to existing and potential GRS customers.
  • Maintain market awareness for opportunities, major projects, market trends, new products and competitor activity.
  • Participate in monthly sales meetings and periodic strategy meetings in conjunction with the Sales Manager.
  • Actively use a CRM system for managing pipeline opportunities and activity.
  • Create and maintain relationships at key levels with internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal Skills And Experience:

  • 3+ years B2B sales experience
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Have operated within a technical environment providing solution selling techniques
  • Ability to communicate, develop and maintain relationships with people at all levels within an organisation.
  • Strong customer focus and understanding
  • Strong commercial skills 
  • Proficient PC and CRM skills
  • Possession of valid driving licence.
